On Earth Day, Trump reveals he’s a science denier

April 22: On This Day In 2019

In 2019, an analysis of 11,602 studies on climate change found that 100% of them believe humans are causing global warming. Literally one hundred percent. Yet you know who continues to publicly proclaim that he doesn’t buy any of that? Donald Trump.

In 2018, his own administration released a study involving 13 federal agencies and more than 300 leading climate scientists. It warned of the potentially catastrophic impact of climate change. “I don’t believe it,” Trump dismissively and ignorantly told reporters.

But it's not a "debate" anymore. His position is no different than yelling from the rooftops that the Earth is flat. Or that the sun revolves around the Earth. It’s just simply…stupid. If your grandfather said those things, you wouldn’t let him near the car keys anymore.

If you don’t see a problem, you don’t see the need for a solution. So, one leading climate scientist summed up Trump’s term by noting that his environmental protection policy was “in many cases the antithesis of protection.” The executive director of the Sierra Club said Trump was “the worst president for the environment our nation has ever had.”

So of course OTDI 2019, Trump didn’t even mention climate change during his Earth Day proclamation. But, strangely, he did tout the US Economy, falsely bragging “our nation is experiencing historic economic and job growth.”

Btw, that was one of 493 times that he exaggerated or lied about the economy, according to the Washington Post’s fact checkers, who note: “…the economy today is not doing as well as it did under Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson or Bill Clinton — or Ulysses S. Grant.”
